Greediness and Sacrifice

I was in my childhood when a young man deemed god of Indian cricket "now" made his debut in international cricket. With sheer determination and hard work he is still surviving in his ages and able to compete with the youngsters in the team.When i was in my school days, when India used to play, may it be any form of cricket, people used to watch only for Sachin. Even though wickets were tumbling at other end and in cases where sachin was the lone fighter, people used to believe that some how he will pull Indian team out of troubles. There are even people now who shut down their TV if sachin gets out. Thats the kind of impact he has on cricket lovers in India as well as through the world.

In my childhood, there were 2 people competiting neck to neck with sachin in terms of runs as well as centuries. One was Brian Lara, the other saeed anwar. Even though there were other batsmen, these people were the closest. It seems ages since those guys retired and still this little master is carrying on. The mental and physical fitness of Sachin is unmatchable.How to forget bowlers who used to target our maestro and ultimately this guy gaining the upper hand, if not that day it was some other day.

The so called god of Indian cricket seems to be getting greedy these days. His focus is mainly on getting that valuable 100th century and not to get the team to winning ways. Even the mindset of cricket lovers seems to be the same. In total contrast to this greediness, see a leader sacrifising world record for the sake of Australian team. I need not mention specially here as every one are aware what happened recently. If clarke batted for 1 more session in that test match, forget about world record of 400, he might have scored far more than that, which might remain forever the best and can never be passed by future generation cricketers. Ofcourse, with the exception of always volatile Sehwag. Such sacrifices gives boost to the team and lfits their spirits.

Forget about 100th century of Sachin, we want Indians to win on foreign soil. For that to happen, we want sacrifices from sachin and not centuries. Already 7 losses in a row and much more awaiting in queue. Indians can atleast breathe happy beacuse there is no foriegn tour till 2013 but still one more to go in Australia still we have some work cut out.
