Why only Sunday a holiday?

Narayan Meghaji Lokhande is called the father of Trade union movement of India. The Government of India issued a postage stamp with his photograph in 2005 commemorating his services. He fought on behalf of the textile mills workers of India. He demanded holiday on Sunday for the mill workers during the British Government. For us Sunday is always a joyful day and if we are enjoying this day it is definitely the fight of Narayan Meghaji Lokhande. It was a long fight between the Narayan Meghaji Lokhande and British that helped us get this holiday. The legal battle went on for 8 long years.
