Blue Whale Game or Blue Whale Challenge is one of the dangerous game which claimed lives of several people. This also called suicide game has several tasks assigned to a participant by administrator which can go up to 50 days and the last task is committing suicide. If a task given to the participant is completed, the participant has to share the photo to claim proof of the task completion. The tasks start increasing in the order of complexity and at least leads to suicide as the task. Social media is the major source of this game and administrators assign tasks using them. The game buffs take this seriously and even if a task leads to their death, they are least bothered. These people when they are going into the depth of the game are not realizing that it is life threatening. the origin of this game is right now assumed to be in Russia but there is no concrete evidence. There are many cases where deaths are reported because of involvement in the game. Whatever could be the game, it should just be played for fun and should not lead to deaths. Social Media like Facebook should not allow such traces on their platforms.
The supreme court of India has given directives to the government to create awareness among the people about the blue whale game. Supreme Court also directed to use the media to create awareness. Schools in European Countries have issued advice to parents to keep track of the kids and check if they are indulging in such games.
