Indian women hockey team won the Asia cup after a gap of 13 years. They beat China in the final in penalty shoot out. With this win India qualify for the next year women hockey world cup to be held in London. Indian women last won Asia cup in 2004. The women team are now ranked 10th in the world hockey rankings.
