74% of voters exercised their vote in Himachal Pradesh. This is record percentage and rpevious polls in 2012 recorded only 73.5%. Exit polls predicted victory for BJP. There has been a tradition in polls in Himachal Pradesh where people vote each of parties BJP and Congress alternately. As per this tradition, BJP should come to power. Congress and their Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh seems to be facing a tough fight in the polls. The poll results are to be announced on December 18.
