A trip to Tirupathi

Last week we went to Tirupathi to have blessings of Lord Venkateswara from Hyderabad. The visit to Tirupathi was a short one but a memorable one. One has to have Lord Venkateswara wishes to visit Tirupathi. We wanted to include the visit details here so that it would benefit the people visiting Tirupathi.

We booked train tickets 2.5 months before and room 1.5 months before the travel.
Room charge is 800/day in Vishnu nivasam

Trip started in Hyderabad:
Got into Narayanadri express at 6PM on a chilly friday evening.
Got down at 7AM on the Saturday morning in Tirupathi.
As we could not get room on the Tirumala hill, we booked Vishnu Nivasam near the railway station.  Tirupathi railway station, Bus station and buses to tirumala are all accessible around Vishnu Nilayam.
Had breakfast at Saravana Bhavan beside the Vishnu Nivasam and is the best hotel around that area. Little costly but we recommend to have breakfast and meals there.

Trip to Kanipakam, Talakona, Srinivasa Mangapuram:
After getting down the train, we quickly had breakfast in Saravana Bhavan and booked a Tempo Traveller for a visit to Kanipakam, Talakona, Srinivasa Mangapuram.
Tempo Traveller guy charged 5,000 for the trip to these places.
Started journey at 9.30AM
Reached Kanipakam by 11.30AM
It took one hour for Darshanam in Kanipakam.
Started back at 1.15PM from Kanipakam

The next destination was Talakona, which is 70 Km from Kanipakam
Had lunch in between and reached talakona by 4.05pm
Talakona doesn't allow people beyond 4pm, so reach before 4PM otherwise you can't enjoy
Somehow convinced the guys there and crossed the gate
Had fun at Talakona, it was a walk inside the forest to the waterfalls.

Started back from Talakona at 6.30PM
Reached Srinivasa managapuram at 8.20PM
Had a quick Darshan and started back
Reached Tirupathi at 10PM
The whole Saturday was spent on this trip

To Tirumala Hill:
After the Saturday trip, Sunday was planned for Tirumala Darshan
Took Tirumala bus from Vishnu Nivasam and ticket was 53/person
Remember that if you take to and fro ticket you get discount
The Darshan was at 11AM
We reached by that time and by the time we came out it was 12.45PM.
Had free meals on the hill top and came back to Vishnu Nivasam by 6PM.
There were prasadam counter near the bus stop on hill top and upma was delicious.
Ofcourse 2 laddus / ticket were given and no laddu can beat the taste
Went to Govindaraja Swamy temple at 7PM and by the time we came out it was 8.30PM.
Again had the dinner at Saravana Bhavan
Vishnu Nivasam had free meals in the second floor but we opted to have delicious Saravana Bhavan food.
The whole sunday was spent in that way.

To Srikalahasthi:
On Monday we planned to go to Srikalahasthi
Took Non-stop bus from Tirupathi bus stop \
Fare was 38/person
Here also to and fro tickets taken at a time gives you discount of 6 rupees per head
We got into bus at 9.30AM
Reached Srikalahasthi by 10.30AM
Bought Palakova in Srikalahasthi
