I was alone sitting at a table in a restuarant. It was a busy day and I was having good tims watching people around. I was observing one guy who collected his meal and took an extra plate along with him. He finished his meal and didn't use the plate at all. While depositing the plates, he left the unused plate at his place. It was lying there for long time. That day restaurant was busy and adding to it the maid who cleans the plates was off. Even though management arranged temporary maid, she was not upto speed of the demand. So, there was heavy rush for the plates as cleaning process is taking time. The restaurant had a corner where clean plates shall be placed. Some people by mistake while depositing the used plates kept them at the clean plates. People were in queue for the plates and some guys took that used plates and cleaned by themselves and collected meals. The same guys who cleaned plates passed by the table where the first guy left the plate but always ignored the plate on the table assuming it as used. All of them went and stood in the queue for clean plates. I observed this phenomena for about 2 hours and there was no change in people mindset. They all stand in queue for plates but everyone ignored the plate on the table. Some even cleaned the used plates but never touched that plate on the table. I internally felt that this is what place value is!!
Everything should be at its place doing its job else the same case happens as was with the plate...
