Bangalore is one of the major metros in India and put it the other way for IT employees it is a major IT hub. It is called the green city of India. Don't know the exact reason but it may be because of the greenery out here they call so it seems. But if compare present Bangalore with the one few years back it makes me wonder whether we have to call it GREEN CITY anymore.
We came on a tour to Bangalore around 2004-05 and the city was totally different those days. The calmness and freshness that was there those days seems to be gone these days. Morning when you wake up rushing, honking traffic, hot weather are some of the things that welcome you. As a result of increased traffic they have cut down the trees everywhere and fly overs have come in to accomodate the traffic and adding to that there is this "NAMMA METRO". Now-a-days the whole youth destination is Bengaluru and it is adding more to the troubles here.
If someone has travelled in Bengaluru, they feel JayaNagar area is one the areas with full greenery. Now it seems people are determined to destroy this also. Within few days i saw 2-3 big tress being cut. Don't know the reason why they were cut down but i couldn't see any agitation from the people around for cutting trees. People show up in media for just publicity supporting greenery. But where have these people gone when such big trees are being cut? Are they sleeping? If trees are being cut in Bengaluru like this, sooner it will be a concrete jungle like Hyderabad. And it will no more be a holiday spot for the people. Karnataka people, please, take care of your beloved Bengaluru!!!!!!
