Can AAP become a kingmaker?

AAP? Seems like a new word for many. Yes, it is indeed a new word. It may not be as popular as BJP, INC, SP,.. but it seems it is gradually finding it's feet among people in the capital city of INDIA. Led by Arvind Kejriwal, is is making in roads to forts of congress and BJP. Recent surveys indicate one-fifth of vote share for the AAP in the upcoming assembly elections for Delhi. It is indeed a significant amount considering Sheela Dixit has been ruling for some time now and also the strong hold of BJP at the municipal level.

After dividing from Anna Hazare and forming a party with name Aam Aadmi Party, this is the first acid test for Arvind Kejirwal. He may not be so popular like Narendra Modi, Sonia Gandhi but he has that crowd pulling capability and his intentions to bring up a complete transparent rule can gain him some support from all quarters. People now being fed up with the politics of BJP and Congress may see AAP as a good alternative. But still that strong vote bank of age old parties is difficult to crack. The main points on AAP agenda are LokPal bill, cleanliness of city, providing employment opprtunities, women protection, controlling of rising prices seems very interesting from a voter point of view. But we have to wait and see if this agenda can bring votes for AAP and helps to bring it to power if not atleast a kingmaker.
