Bike Trip to Kondapochamma Sagar - Part 2

As we gear up for the bike trip, we started few instructions to the group. Everyone can frame their own instructions and there are ours.

Instruction 1: Remember your partner

We decided the Bike rider and pillion list as shown in previous part.

Instruction 4: Activities

  • Start by 5AM
  • Reach Kondapochamma Reservoir at 7:30 AM 
  • Hangout and rest for 30 mins
  • Start the return journey back before 8:30 AM.

Instruction 5: Quick notes for drivers

    1. Make sure you get good sleep on the night before and that your phone is fully charged. If anybody has low sugar or BP issues, have a light breakfast before leaving from home. 

    2. Tyre should have decent grip and enough air pressure. Do not use scooters/bikes with worn out tyres. Mirrors should be in proper position, and not folded. 

    3. Both passengers should have full face helmets, with ISI marks. DO NOT USE HALF FACE or HALF CAP HELMETS EVEN WITH ISI. 

    4. Make sure your headlight, indicators and horn is working. Ensure engine oil is sufficient in the engine. Even serviced but unused 2 wheelers can have thick oil. 

    5. Make sure your 2 wheeler is in working condition before starting. Ensure the engine is turning on and verify adequate break is available. 

    6. Riders are adviced to use gloves since handle vibration can causing temporary numbing oh hands over long distance. 

    7. Keep the phone number of your vehicle manuacturer's road side assitance details carefully. 8. Ensure all documents, such as RC, PUC and insurance is up to date. 

    9. If you feel like taking a break, take a break. Dont worry about fellow riders. Co-passenger can inform in the group about the same. 

    10. Keep a bottle of water and/or juice and/or glucose/ORS, some chocolate and a first aid kit with either of the riders in a bike. 

    11. Share the phone number of your emergency contact person with the team in the group before travel. 

      Instruction 6: First Aid Notes

      1. In the event of an accident, do not remove your helmet immediately. You might not feel any injuries yet and removing the helmet can complicate any bone breakage. 

      2. Any open wounds needs to be treated with plain water and we shall divert to nearest hospital. 

      3. Ambulance emergency number for Telangana is 102 or 108 

      4. If you fall, leave your vehicle and immediately move away from the road to the side. 

      5. Helmet straps needs to be tight against your chin. It might feel uncomfortable, but after 10 mins you wont feel it.
