This day is a public holiday in United states.  This is a religious observation to say thanks to the almighty god. People set to give thanks to elders on this day to seek their blessings. People celebrate this with family and friends. Chocolates, Jewelry, cookies and other gifts are the major gifts exchanged between people on this day. In this modern era, smart phones have taken over the gift packs exchanged.
