The above subject line comes to my mind when I see the sri lankan cricket team thick of things. While low profile teams like Bangladesh, Afghanistan are on the rise, once a super power in cricket, the lankan team is going down the ramp every other day. After the drubbing these guys received in the Asia cup, there were hopes of bouncing back in the home series against England. This is not the case and they have lost ODI and T20 series without a fight. They lost the first test without a fight. Now coming to the second test starting today, they don't have their main spinner Rangana Herath as he is retired, they don't have their captain as he is injured, they have their budding spinner Akila Dhananjaya is low on confidence as he was reported for suspect action. Amid all these sri lankan team manager resigned. This is what we call mess. Adding to the low confidence level, even luck doesnt seem to favor these guys.
