Let food be your first medicine and kitchen be your first pharmacy.

As we all know, immunity means the body’s ability to prevent the invasion of germs like bacteria or virus. Lifestyles, eating habits and various nutritional values of foods help the people to build a robust immunity system. During this pandemic our family took additional precautions to gear up with the immunity system. Few of those tips which I followed wanted to share as it can be very helpful to all during such times.

Neem holds an immense importance in the traditional culture of India. We have all heard our parents and grandparents re-iterate the advantages of neem time and again. The neem tree is said to have over 130 different biologically active compounds. Neem and turmeric are two super ingredients that we took on the daily basis. They both have anti-bacterial effect and kill cancer cells. They also carry unique energies which are very conducive for my regular yogic practices . I always make two small balls with the neem and turmeric powder and swallow them with tepid honey water. Not only in Ayurvedic medicines, neem tree extracts have been a part of many home remedies that Indians have been following since time immemorial. We use neem to treat hair and skin issues too.

Turmeric purifies the blood and brings translucence to our energies. Turmeric not only works on the physiology, but also has a big impact on our energy system. It purifies the blood, body, and energy system. It is very useful even for external purification, just we can take a small pinch of turmeric, put it into a bucket of water and pour it over your body – will can see and feel that the body will be vibrant and glowing.

For those who suffer from cold related diseases and find their nostrils blocked every morning, will benefit a lot from the consumption of neem, pepper, honey and turmeric. Crush about 10 to 12 pepper corns roughly and soak them in a couple of spoons of honey overnight (about 8 to 12 hours). In the morning you consume this and just chew upon the pepper. Mixing some turmeric with the honey should also work.

Our family members started taking turmeric on an empty stomach in the morning, which is a very effective.  We just swallow a marble-sized turmeric ball and neem ball.  It’s not only useful for the body, but also for the mind, for the activity that we perform. There are many more such home remedies which many people are following. Hope that each one of you who reads this article explore more about importance of such home remedies , use them constantly and overcome the diseases.

Remember the body is a living organism and it is constantly evolving and changing from moment to moment. Therefore, maintaining a consistent diet ritual is very important to maintain its likeness
