After a gap of 17 years, a contestant from India wins the Miss World crown. It was last won by an Indian, Priyanka Chopra in 2000. For this 2017 year, Manushi Chhillar, a medical student from Haryana won the title. With this she became the 6th Indian to win the title. The other contenders were from England, Kenya, France and Mexico. Chhillar in one of the rounds answered that she feels that mother is the profession which deserves highest salary. This year Miss world event is held in China.
