It's just not a loss!!

The Indian test cricket team loss to England in an embarrassing manner has led to lot of debate. Indians were not able to cross 150 in both the innings and were defeated by innings and 159 runs. England take 2-0 lead in the 5-match series. Even though it is not the end of the series and neither the Indian team lost the series, critics around started blaming Indian team for lot of things and even Indian players lost few things after second test.
  • The first thing everyone are talking about is the rotation policy which was followed by Australian team during their golden era. this seems not working with the team.
  • Virat Kohli was claimed as the best captain and he is expected to conquer the overseas series but it didn't happen. Now there are questions around his captaincy which was not the situation one test ago.
  • Virat Kohli lost the top rank in the ICC batsmen criteria after the second test. He was on top after the century in first test. The irony is without doing anything and out of international cricket due to ban, Smith crawled back to top spot due to failures of Kohli.
  • The decision to include spinner under the expected overcast conditions was pointed out by many.
  • Many are saying that this team plays T20 matches well than Test cricket. The way Dhawan, Murali Vijay, Dinesh Karthik was getting out were shown as examples. Especially, the Dinesh Karthik wicket was best example to show that he isn't test batsmen.
  • Rotating between Murali Vijay, KL Rahul and including KL Rahul instead of Pujara in the first test was a blunder.
  • While England bowlers bowled tight lines and forced the batsmen to play, Indian bowlers strayed lot of times.
But the series are not yet done. Indian players are wounded tigers now and the number ranked team cannot be taken easily. Indians fans wish that they see tough fight from their team. It is always possible that they can come back and win the series.
